Bow Valley Equine Adaptive (BVEA) is a Nonprofit offering adaptive horseback riding and therapy for people with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. They operate out of Camp Chief Hector, and offer many programs that enriched the lives of people every day.
Formerly known as Rundle Riders, BVEA wanted a modernized refresh for their current branding. The rebrand focused on imagery centring around Mt.Yamnuska, which is fairly predominant from where they operate on Camp Chief Hector. The logo combines a horse motif with use of negative space to highlight a simplified silhouette of Yamnuska, and flowing lines to signify movement and the land.
The colour palette imitates nature and the surrounding landscape, and the typeface is chosen specifically for its high contrast, legibility and overall accessibility. Specific brand guidelines have been put in place to ensure there is adequate font size, spacing and contrast for maximum legibility.
