Hello!

the artist behind Jaysbrains—a name that reflects my passion for storytelling, curious and sometimes humorous illustration, and now locally made craftsmanship. After years in the print and apparel industry, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for exceptionally made garments and an obsession with print  quality.

Grimalta is the name I've given to the line of merch I've developed that is inspired by my home in Banff. The name blends Grimaldi—the town tied to my Italian roots—with Alta, meaning "elevated." It speaks not only to my high-altitude home but also to the elevated quality behind every piece. Each design is inspired by the town I live in and printed locally, sourcing garment blanks from Canadian companies. I approach every detail like a picky designer, making sure this isn’t your typical mass-produced gift shop tee, which is unfortunately what we see a lot of here in this high-volume tourist town.

With nearly 10 years of experience in graphic design and over seven years in the custom printing industry, I’ve focused my work to creating bold designs with an exceptional attention to detail that only someone with my level of experience could carry on to this line of work.
