Banff Fishing

Logo concept for local fish guiding company that serves clients on Lake Minnewanka. After briefing, we concluded that the new logo should have a modern look, combine fishing and mountains motif, and be simple and impactful.

The result was a clean, simple mark combining a trout emerging from water, a stylized mountain backdrop, and a fishing hook. The colours used were bright and nature-inspired and the typeface chosen is a modern, but intentionally highly legible. The final design is flexible, scalable and works across apparel, signage, and digital platforms.

This design did not end up being the final version of their logo. They felt that it was too modernized for their clientele. I include it here because it was a great learning opportunity, and I believe showing both successful concepts and lessons learned provides a more honest representation of my work.
